Terms & Conditions
The rules for using the PhoneApp as a Company‑issued work tool. By signing in, you agree to the terms below.
PhoneApp is provided by S & T Properties solely as an internal business communications tool. It is issued to you as part of your role with the Company, and your use of it is governed by these Terms & Conditions in addition to any employment or contractor agreement you have signed.
By signing in to the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the App and raise the issue with your administrator.
The App is provided for work purposes connected to your role at the Company. You agree to:
- Use the App only for legitimate business communication — not for personal use unrelated to your work;
- Keep your sign‑in credentials and any device linked to your account confidential and secure;
- Not attempt to disable, circumvent, or interfere with call recording, logging, or any other App feature;
- Comply with all applicable laws when placing or receiving calls and messages through the App, including telemarketing, harassment, and communications laws.
Accounts and extensions are provisioned by Company administrators. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Access to the App is a privilege tied to your role and may be suspended or revoked by the Company at any time, including immediately upon the end of your employment or engagement.
Calls placed and received through the App may be recorded as a standard business practice, for quality assurance and record‑keeping. As part of your use of the App:
- You acknowledge and consent to your side of any call being recorded;
- Where the App or Company practice requires an audible or automated notice to the other party that a call is being recorded, you must not disable or bypass that notice;
- Because calls may connect to parties outside Alberta — including in jurisdictions with stricter consent requirements — you must not rely on Alberta's consent standard alone and should follow any recording‑disclosure practice built into the App or instructed by your administrator.
The App is provided on an "as available" basis. The Company does not guarantee uninterrupted or error‑free operation, and is not liable for missed calls, messages, or voicemail resulting from network issues, third‑party service outages (including carrier or push notification providers), or maintenance.
Your access to the App ends automatically when your employment or engagement with the Company ends, or may be suspended earlier at the Company's discretion — for example, for a suspected breach of these Terms. Call logs, recordings, and messages associated with your account remain Company business records after your access ends.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
The Company may update these Terms from time to time as the App evolves. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
These Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles.
